Meet Dr. Glenn Daman
Dr. Glenn Daman was appointed Director of Village Missions Center for Leadership Development in September, 2004. Glenn grew up in Tensed, Idaho in a small Village Missions church where his mother first came as a Village Missionary, before marrying his father. It was through the ministry of this church that Glenn learned the value and importance of the small church and the important contribution that small churches have in the spiritual development of people in the church and in the community.
Glenn graduated from Western Seminary where he obtained double masters in Old Testament and New Testament Studies. He earned his Doctor of Ministry degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and wrote his thesis on the small church ministry. Glenn also served as pastor of two churches, one in Stevenson, WA, and a second, small, struggling church in Cascade Locks, WA.
For the past eight years, Glenn has been the Director of Western Seminary's Institute for Small Church Health on a part-time basis. Now that Glenn is full-time with Village Missions he is able to accelerate his work and focus on developing future small church leaders.
Glenn is the author of "Shepherding the Small Church," and is working on a forthcoming companion volume, "The Simplicity of Ministry."
